Default Can my Vossen wheel be repaired?

Valet curb checked my left rear wheel the other day. Can the scratches be sanded down? If so what do I put over the surface when done to protect it? Thanks for any help!

Ouch... Did you bring it to the valet managers attention?

They took all my info and gave me his info, said he would call me in the next couple days. They asked if I was sure they did it! I was like first they're practically brand new and I'm sure I would have noticed when I hand washed the car prior to bringing to you guys

If they damaged it, they should replace it with a new rim.

I was hoping to repair it on the vehicle otherwise I'll probably order a new one. Can't be rolling around mismatched for a week or more

Yeah we'll see! Looks like it could be my word against theirs at this point

The only thing that makes me unsure of the repair is the machined finish, I've had small repairs like that done on the car with great success, but they were painted rims not machined finish rims.

Since its not your fault I wouldn't put up with any 80% repair jobs.

Were you valeted at a restaurant? Call the GM of the restaurant. Don't expect them to foot the bill, but tell him/her how disappointed you were that a restaurant that you trust and patronize would contract with a company that would damage your property and then refuse to own up to it and repair it like that. I bet you'll get a call from the valet company then.

I would call the GM of the resort then...if that doesn't work, submit a yelp review and TripAdvisor review.

They'll replace it

Two of my wheels are curbed, because of me having to dodge stupid people not paying attention and running running me off the road.

Was hoping someone from Vossen would chime in on possible repairs. Still no call back from valet manager. Maybe tomorrow I'll call the resort GM.

If you want you can go to Home Depot and get some 200, 600, and 1100 grit sandpaper and some wheel polish and do it yourself. It doesn't look bad from the pic... It actually looks like a DIY. From the looks of it it's an easy fix, if it were me I'd have my rim replaced wheel replaced by the jackass that did it. I hand my keys to NO ONE. When I go for service or whatever... The service manager comes out to get my car, the valets can't afford to pay for damages so I give the car to someone who can.

Very old thread I know. I just didn't want to create a new thread on the same topic. I have the same wheels as OP and just two hours ago my dad took my car and curbed my wheel. This is the second time he's done this and I wanted to know if it's repairable. So I now have two front rims with curb damage.

I would check with a wheel repair service as stated above. I would never let anyone valet my car, your just asking for possible damage. Just park a mile out and get a little exercise.
