Rubbing noise only when there is body roll
Hi
I'm experiencing a rubbing rotational noise only when I turn left and there is enough body roll. The sound definitely corresponds to wheel rotational speed. It doesn't happen when going straight or turning right regardless of speed. I've already checked for brake shield rubbing ..I've pushed the brake shields back already. Also. I don't see any scuff marks around the front right wheel well area. I'm at a complete loss. What else could it be?

thanks
edit: also at parking lot speeds, I can't hear the noise regardless of how sharp I turn.

It could be rust. I had the same issue which was especially noticeably on curvy roads with the body roll.
I think my mechanic ended up servicing the brakes and removing the rust on the drum/shield (can't remember exactly where) and that solved the problem. Seemed like there was quite a bit of rust build-up.
Edit: By servicing brakes I mean, I think he removed the shield and was literally beating it with a hammer or something if I remember.

Yeah if there's nothing obviously wrong the wheel bearing is the most likely candidate – makes sense that if the wheel bearing were just starting to go bad, it would make noise only under the highest stress, like when it experiences a large lateral force at high rotational speeds.
