Customization ideas..
Hey everyone,
I have a 2006 gs300 and I would like to do some cheap to moderately priced upgrades. Can anyone point me to a credible website to order parts from?

Light covers, rims, interior/exterior stuff, ya know... ***** like that lol. I'm new to "customizing cars". All I've done with my last cars was drive and repair them.

Haha yeah for sure I got you, it's just that there's so many different things you can do, it's kinda hard to know where to start!
If you want to improve handling, you could replace your stock lower control arm bushings with a set of RR Racing bushings and install F Sport sway bars.
For interior, you could tint the windows, wrap the wood trim with carbon fiber vinyl (Amazon is a good place to get vinyl, tint should probably be applied professionally). Also a vaistech iPod integration kit is not too expensive, and is easy to DIY.
For exterior, a roof spoiler, rear diffuser or front splitter are all probably fairly cheap and easy to install. Also you could replace exterior lights with LEDs or install HID fogs or put in http://m.ebay.com/itm/2006-2011-Lexus-GS350-GS430-GS450H-GS460-Dark-Red-FIBER-OPTIC-LED-Tail-Lights-/172258261680?nav=SEARCH. And of course there's lowering the car – putting on some coilovers or F sport lowering springs.
The list goes on, but honestly you should check out the wheel thread, DIY thread and builds thread on this forum. those will give you vastly more info on 3GS mods/customizations than anyone posting here could, and you'll be able to see what all the mods looks like and do, and often how to install them if you want to DIY.

No worries, glad to help!
Oh and an aftermarket exhaust swap is a fairly popular and not extremely expensive mod. Tanabe and a few others make bolt-on cat-back and axle-back exhausts that you can install yourself easily. I also recall seeing a post from a member who took his GS to a muffler shop and had them do a custom full dual exhaust, and apparently it was a bit cheaper than the bolt-on he had been considering.
