I can't find the right size rims for my car!
18x8 45 offset 5x114.3
Okay so if I want to get a bigger rim then I would have to get lower profile tires, I understand that.
I'm suppose to get an offset closest to own.
So I'm looking for a 19 or 20" rims but they are all 8.5 wide.
How do people find rims so easily. I dont want to just throw any rim on my car and risk messing anything up. Help me please.
So if I get a 8.5 inch wide rim do I have to find an offset that is 27-29mm since .5inch is equivalent to about 12mm?
Btw is my own wheels negative or positive offset.

You can easily get an 18x8 aftermarket wheel such as TSW for 1 example that will have a very close offset.
Offset has NOTHING to do with width so your tire size will not be affected.
Your offset is POSITIVE. Offsets are rarely negative with the exception of custom rims that are more than likely deep dish and wide body etc..
Hope this helps.

There's a 3GS wheel thread stickied that has over 100 pages worth of rim and tire specs to look at. I went over it 3 times before finalizing my options.
