06 GS430 ABS actuator
#32
Hey guys, as an update I ended up using a ABS pump from a 2013 GS450h that I found on eBay for ~$500. I had it installed by a local mechanic for ~$400. It is working great - no issues.

I receive a letter today from lexus that says that from 2005 to present lexus are having actuator problems and if your car does have a actuator problem it will be covered under new car warranty..My 06 GS430 actuator pump makes funny noise all the time when driving.
Can anyone tell me if thats my actuator giving problems.

Your actuator is on its way out. After replacing mine it's only does it on initial startup, when I turn the engine off, and when I press the pedal suddenly and really deep. I was told by Lexus that's normal as it needs to build up pressure in the system. My old one would do it every time I even touch the brakes. It was eventually going to burn out with the constant running.

Just got the letter. Warranty enhancement notification- ZLG
Its not a recall more of a extended warranty and they will need to run faults if nothing appears you are responsible for the diagnostic fee.
Primary coverage until dec 31, 2017 regardless of mileage
Secondary coverage 10yr from date of 1st use or 150,000 whichever comes first.
Also i think you can get reimbursed if work was done out of warranty
