Headlight Beams Cockeyed
Hello,
Recently took off my headlights (HID w/AFS) on my 2010 AWD to do some bumper and fender work (repaint from large scratches). Once I had the fenders and bumper back from the shop I put everything back together but now my headlight beams are cockeyed. Both sides are "tilted" to one side or the other. The beam is as sharp as it always was but horizontally it looks like a ship that has listed.
There are three bolts that hold a headlight down. A silver one on the side, a collared one on top that bolts into the radiator frame near the fender, and one more collared bolt near the bottom of the light housing that (from the left and right lights) faces the middle of the car.
I checked and rechecked and checked again and can't seem to solve this. Maybe adding some washers here and there until I find the proper horizontal alignment?? Ideas? Lights were never taken apart.
Thanx
