'07-'11 GS450h; how to "charge" the hybrid battery?
Hi all:
In my old RX400h, if i held down the brake and gas pedal at the same time, the hybrid battery would charge (one would see the charge level increase on the nav display). However with the GS450h, the same procedure only serves to DRAIN the hybrid battery.
The procedure i'm referring is used during the "ISC reset" that RX400h owners are required to do after replacing the normal starter battery. Depressing the brake and gas at the same time for ~30 seconds charges the hybrid battery, and if one continues to depress both for upwards of a minute (though most don't recommend this), the battery will become fully charged.
It's a fact that the acceleration in both the RXh and GSh is MUCH greater when the hybrid battery is fully charged. I'd like to be able to charge it at a stop light when i plan to do a quick static launch, etc.
Is there a procedure for charging the hybrid battery level in the '07-'11GS450h? Thanks in advance!
