Popping Noise From Speakers on Startup Then Audio Doesn’t Work. Sometimes..
Hey so when I start my car every few days, usually after not using the car for a day or 2 I will run into this situation. Where I would start my car and hear 2 deep popping noises from my speakers and then it won’t play any audio. After a while of driving usually an 1-4 hours. I turn the audio on and off and then it randomly starts working again. It is really annoying lol. Once it starts working it’ll usually start working on start up for a few days, then it’ll happen again for another couple days. It is really odd and I can’t find anyone else with this problem. I’ve seen this community help many people in the past and I hope I could be helped. Thank you Lexus family!

It could be a bad amp. I think the only way of testing the amp is either bypassing the amp to see if the headunit is sending a signal to the speakers. Or disconnecting the speaker output from the amp and listen for the popping noise.

Does the noise only come out of the rear speakers?
It appears the sound is only from the rear, im wondering why dont you have noise in the front speakers aswell? Also if this is a mark levinson common issues are bad amps, and bad rear speakers. Usually its just the foam padding that goes bad on the speakers. But that shouldnt knock off the whole stereo system. So like mx73 suggested it could be a bad amp. There have been a few members who had moisture destroy there amps. So if the amp is still working maybe corrosion found its way into the plugs of the harness. Simply remove the plugs and inspect them make sure no corrosion and that the pins are clean and straight.
