Default 2008 GS460 - 3K miles...???

Hello All,

I am considering placing my 2008 GS460 on AutoTrader.com and/or ebay...
How much do you think I should ask for it, reasonably speaking?
Loaded with all options, except Active Stabilizer system.

Thanks.

Are you saying your car has 3K miles on it. Thats low sounds like you didn't drive it a lot. I would try to sell it for 28-29K if you want to sell it fast. If your not in a rush I would look for 31-32K.

Good numbers! But with ebay, you just never know. You may have some weirdo bidding sky high for it.

I say take it to a good detailer, take some good pics and should fetch you good money on ebay

3K miles on a 2008! Holy cow!

Now that I have that out of the way. What do the so called experts say? The KBB's, Edmunds, etc. You can always base your asking price off of that. You can also take it to somewhere like Carmax to get a no obligation quote. You can take their numbers and a few K to their figure. That is if it is truly clean and you can back up all service records AND the low mileage. With miles that low, the first question will be about a roll-back. Good luck!

I thought these newer systems prevented roll-back. I'd say more of a mileage freeze, as this is the method for digital cars.

You're probably right. But the thought process is the same. Low mileage on a car these days raises eyebrows and questions. How can you have a car that could be approaching 5 to 7 years old with that few miles? It could be legit. My grandmother once had a Cadillac she only drove to church on Sunday, a 4 mile round trip! Extremely low miles. But in the end, the car started to fall apart from lack of driving. It happens.

Trade it in? He'll get creamed. Only to turn around and see it on the lot for thousands more than he got for it. Selling outright himself is his best bet, if he has the time and patience.

+1 he will as the dealership doesn't care about the mileage more about the market of the car, and how its selling.

I can see the dealers eyes light up now. $$$$$ That car has certification and a high asking price written all over it. Certainly would command top $$ if cleaned up and presented correctly. Whether by the owner or the dealer. You see a nice, clean pre-owned ride these days and the first question is how many miles do you have on it? To be able to respond by saying it is an '08 with less the 5K, whew.
