GS Mistaken for a Hyundai ??
So, I was carrying a microwave over to a dear friend of mine's house since theirs is not working. It was my "good deed" for the day..
As I rounded the corner coming off the hill, there was a 90' Chevy truck in the oncoming lane and just when I passed alongside of him, he started honking his horn.
I ignored it. Figured he was honking at someone else...
So, I turn into my friend's neighborhood, down a couple of streets, make a right, drove a couple of blocks and pulled alongside the curb at my destination. I'm getting ready to exit the car and here's this Chevy truck again!
Guy pulls up to me, and I'm wondering "What's this all about?". I roll down the passenger side window and the guy starts apologizing to me. Apparently he thought I was his son (how that could happen is beyond me as I'm an ageing 58 year old) and his son drives a Hyundai. He didn't know the car I was driving was a Lexus until he got right up on it. He apologized again - I said "No Problem" and he drove off.
I guess its true: No good deed goes unpunished. For the life of me I can't figure out why he thought I was driving a Hyundai. To me, they don't look remotely the same.
Maybe I should have offered to buy him some glasses.....

Yesterday, I got out from a strip mall. Crossing the parking lot avoiding a passing van and I did a quick glance. Spotted a black car, I approach it and proceed to open the door. It wouldn't open. I was wondering what's wrong with my FOB, until I glance inside and see it's a Camry climate control *****. Oops, glance over and my car was a few cars down.

Lexus Test Driver
When the 2nd gen Lexus GS300/400 came out in 98/99? I was always confused it with the MB E series then from a distance headon... with the quad headlights. There is no question there is always one car manufacture copies the others...

Pole Position
Sometimes I see a hyundai parked at the side of the road and for a second think it's an IS until I get closer. If you think about it there is very little to differentiate cars of the same class from eachother other than minor things like the shape of lights etc. They are all roughly the same size and shape with four wheels etc.
