Default Radar detector mount / Blendmount

Has anyone used this device for radar detector mount? No suction cups on windshield. It mounts on the windshield mirror and is wired into the electrical system in the Homelink.

It mounts high up and barely noticeable.

Comments would be appreciated

Too nice of a car for something like that to show at all imho. I got a great deal on a whistler pro3600 which uses a sensor you can put behind the grille or under the bumper to pick up radar and laser, a connection box, display, an led (so you can hide main display), gps antenna, and a speaker I never hooked up. Saved me more times than I can count and no one ever knew I had it. I live in VA where detectors are illegal so the whole inconspicuous factor is really important to me.

But I am all for it if it cleans up some wires. Its my pet peeve.

I have V1 mounted with suction cups. To make it invisible from outside I have put small strip of dark tint. From outside it looks like there is a small extention of something next to mirror black strip. You cannot see suction cups at all so don't have to remove radar detector each time or worry that someone will break in because they see my V1.

Also instead of wiring it to the mirror, I have wired it to cigarette lighter. I have installed as well remote control unit in the ash tray so you can mute the radar without having to rach to the mirror each time. Also people from behind don't see lights from the detector.

I have it on my GS and the other car, It works great, hidden, top quality. You need to have the straight smart cord and route it to the power source. Once it's installed you just forget it. A little expensive but I think it's worth it. I have Escort 9500.
