Just changed front brakes but.... getting a clicking noise when coming to a stop..
I've searched a couple of threads but not a clear answer.
The other day, I changed my front brakes just the pads. Everything came out smooth but then later that day i started to notice a clicking noise coming from the passenger side brake I suppose. You can't hear it when you drive or when braking early but you start to hear it when the car slows down and your coming to a stop. Its a constant clicking noise within like 1 or 2 seconds of each other. Its not loud, but its very noticeable with music off. And not to mention, very annoying.
I'm about to take everything apart and reinstall everything to see whats up. I'll update you guys if i figure out the problem or not.
BTW its a 2006 GS300 Front brakes. If anyone can find me a picture of the wheel off with rotors and whole brakes on that would be nice. I think I might of put on a clip wrong.

Yea... it just came back today.... Can anyone find me pictures of the brake part and rotor area on a 2006 Lexus GS. After this year i think the front brake is different. I need to find where the clips go..

Low wear sensor clips
Not sure that is what their called but had the same thing happen after installing new pads on a Camry I think but I had the wear sensor clips on backwards. Hope this helps.

I just bought my car, same year and model. I, too notice the same symptoms are yours, except mine occurs when pressing into the brake. It's single click each time the pedal is pressed. Did you notice/do anything different from when you previously installed your brakes?

I dont have the same problem but i think it could be my wheel bearing.... I recently changed my rotors and brake pads a few weeks ago and its been making this sound.... not very noticeable until i'm moving next to a car... I thought it was just new pads setting in cause they're thick.... anyone got an answer? and I'm not sure about turning either...

I agree to a point.
I also really wanted an s550 sport, or a 750i. But warranty or not I just didn't want to spend time or any money fixing those cars. I'm not even gonna mention the depreciation factor .
Any car can be fixed as long as you throw money at it. I wanted to have the most reliable car with minimum expenses for the duration of ownership.
I'm gonna keep the car for 2 more years, so a 3 year 36k mile warranty with no deductibles fit me perfectly.
I'm also a bit of a nut. I like everything in perfect working order. How many people even know of the passenger side lumbar is broken and how many of those care to get it fixed I wonder.
My gs430 came with a broken recirculating arm for the climate control. Dealer wanted good money to get it fixed. I did not have warranty on that car so I spent a few hours fixing it myself. Wasnt fun, but I got it fixed.
Different options for different people.
I post my car repairs here so people could see that they have options and decide what works for them and what doesn't .
Many thanks to all the people here posting lots of write ups and information.
