valve/lifter tick with castrol synthetic??
Hey guys,
in my 06 gs430 i got the oil changed and put some castrol synthetic in. It was fine for about a month and once the weather started getting nicer here recently, my car was making a ticking sound. Took it to my mechanic and he said first go get the oil changed and put conventional oil in (because it doesn't specify in the maintenance guide to put synthetic in).
Once I did that, the sound went away pretty much instantly. Is there anyone here that runs synthetic in their gs430? What kind of oil do you think I should try next?

I also use Mobil1, and have been every 7500 miles since Lexus did the last change at 5000 miles (I have just over 40k on the car). Conventional oil is also called for on my car, however I've had no problems using Mobil1.
