Default Backup Camera Override

How difficult is it for someone to install a switch to show the backup camera on nav screen while driving?

The VaisTech ML + allows you to do that. The car must have been in reverse since you stared the car, but other than that it works well.

I took a look at that unit and it seems to do whole lot but it's pricey. Where can I purchase this and how much should everything costs total (w/ install)? Aside from purchasing this unit, there's not an easier way to just install some sort of override toggle switch for the camera?

You can order it directly from VAIS Tech. See the website below.

I don't know about installation costs, because I did it myself, but you will need an iPod Component AV USB cable. Probably around $30-$40.

Other than that I don't know how to override it other than to slam it into reverse at full speed. :-) Kidding, please don't try that.

That actually works in the isx50. As long as you're going over a certain speed (5-15 mph?) you can put the car in reverse to activate the camera
