Default battery died-now no start

1999 gs400,

i left my back left door open and the battery died. took the battery inside and put it on that charger. waited for battery to charge. reinstalled battery. tried to start the car, will not start, dash lights do no come one, head lights will not turn on but do hear a click when i turn the switch for them. horn and door dinger work. no other electronics work. tried both keys i have-still nothing. can not change gears. steering wheel does unlock. rechecked battery terminals-all ok.

any suggestions????

im thinking ignition switch?

I think you're a few generations out on the wrong forum.

Anyway, maybe your battery didn't actually charge and it's toast. Or maybe you accidentally shorted it when uninstalling/reinstalling the battery. Check your fuses, especially the huge main one.
