I really like the look of the wood and chrome shift **** in the LS 600H. It is much more elegant than the leather with wood inlay.

Has anyone bought one of these and put it in the GS? I have the Cashmere trim. I wonder whether the medium brown walnut wood finish on the LS600H shift lever would match the interior of my car.

Any thoughts?

It seems Grazio & Co has some trim pieces that may work. See the attached images. I particularly like the wood&chrome shift ****, the metallic steering wheel assembly, and the metal center switch console.

I dont think that the wood grains will match. Every time I see and LS interior or even a ES interior I wonder why Lexus skimped on the wood trim on the dash. Looks like cost cutting imo.

Looks like Grazio has this covered with LS600 style shift *****. Has anyone bought one? Does anyone know enough japanese to know which one I should order for a cashmere interior 2008 car.

whlkev is right. The car has real maple wood carved from a single tree to ensure consistent grains. And Yamaha's piano division does make and polish the wood for Lexus cars. This is something Lexus prides themselves on, and in the past they have been noted for saying things like "unlike many of our competitors, we use real wood".

Toyota's use fake wood, and if you sit in one of those and then sit in a Lexus the difference is striking.

Update for those interested:

They have matching wood gear ***** for the Black and Gray Lexus interiors (Gray birds-eye maple and Reddish Brown Walnut) but they do not have anything that matches the wood in the cashmere interior (Golden birds-eye maple).

So if you have Black or Gray interiors, and you like the stuff posted, you can go for it.
