anyone here upgraded gen4 nav to gen5?
just wondering if anyone here has done the upgrade from gen4 navigation to a gen5 on their 06' gs..

You can do it, but the conversion is so expensive, it isn't worth it.

is it hardware or just software? i was wondering if peeps were able to use 8.1 in their cars

06' IS has the new gen5 nav system and the 06' GS has the gen4. it's hardware and software i believe

7.1 8.1 that's the nav dvd version.
gen4 that's the hardware itself. it's only on 06 gs, since 07 it's been upgraded to gen5
