Default baked in tree sap

folks,

I have some dime size tree sap on the hood - already baked into the paint.
I would appreciate any help with ideas to remove the tree sap.
I have tried rubbing alcohol and nail polish - no luck.

thanks

have you tried bug and tar remover?

if its already "baked" into the paint like you said though, im not sure theres much you can do short of repainting the part.

It can be fixed by sending the spot down with 2000 grid sandpaper and buffing it up with some fine abrasive polisher. Don't do it yourself if you've never done it before, because you can send right through the clear coat.
