does the system produce a droning sound while cruising with the windows up. I am looking for the mildest system in terms of noise output? I would prefer only to hear it at higher rpm (over 4k rpm). had a borla system on a g35 with high flow cats and full intake and plenum, and she was to noisy while driving home retarded tired after work. Hook me up with some honest input

It is definitely a mild deep tone. There won't be any droning in the car. You will be able to tell that you have a modified exhaust from inside the car, but it is definitely not noisy. This is definitely one of the quietest exhaust systems you will get on the market.

I would have to agree. I love my tanabe exhaust. I paired it with the K&N Typhoon intake though. The engine sounds like Clark Kent below 3500 rpm but anything above that is pure Superman. It's not too loud but the driver next to you will know you have something different. Best exhaust you can get for the GS!!

Thanks you guys for the input. I went to a lexus dealer in superstition springs about 50 miles from the house who told me they had 1 system available. I drove all the way there and when I got there the unit was for a is350. I was pissed off so they said they would give me a discount when I come back. I hope they will call me soon with the part

You'll like it I think... it's just different enough at low RPM that you wonder what's up vs. a stock GS350, but after you nail it, you get a whole new car sound.... WOT is insanely cool sounding IMO... if you just want "looks" with new tips, the Borla tips look pretty cool.... my friend has them on his GS, but I prefer the look and the sound combo.... Tanabe did a nice job dialing down the decibels on this unit....

I think what is making the car sound louder than I would like is the intake.

True.... the intake kicks it up a lot versus just doing the exhaust mod. by itself... you are correct....
