Bluetooth Caller ID
Hi,
I have a Audiovox 5600 bluetooth phone synced to my 2007 GS350 and I love the hands free option. BUT I wonder if it is just this model phone in this model car or if everyone fails to see the incoming caller on dash display with name and phone number being displayed if it loaded into the car's phone book? All I get is a message saying the incoming call is unknown. I thought Bluetooth was supposed to sync and work showing my incoming callers info or atleast the phone number. Help me out guys and gals with 2007 GS please. What do you see when your car is motion/stopped?

My phone doesn't support phonebook download. It says transfer is in progress but then never does anything. If someone calls it does not display the name or phone number.
However, when I manually punch in a name and number into the car's phonebook and that number calls me it shows up on the display.

Thats the only way it works for me too.

I have the same problem...
I've experienced the same issue too and thought that's just the way it's suppose to work. I have the T-mobile MDA and also tried with Samsung T629 and the outcome is still the same.
Initially, I downloaded the phone numbers using my MDA and continued to used to that phone for a while and recently converted to a smaller phone.
Do you have to input the phone numbers manually?
Thanks

Sync
I have tried manually entering my name & numbers, sending 1 by 1 and sending the whole phone book. All loaded in fine but I get no caller id when in the car. Does the fact the car is moving make the car hide the information for our 'safety' as Lexus likes to look out for our well being so much these days? So some people can see the name and number on the incoming calls fine but others not??

Success! Well sort of...Atleast I now know it's my phone. I found the following information on the Lexus website after reading somewhere in the forum about the phone compatability guide. Here's what I found...
http://lexusbluetooth.letstalk.com/b...=&passedPaIds=
So if you are having phone issues this Lexus site appears to answer the question of what works or does not work on every model of phone.
SOLUTION: Buy a new compatible phone next phone...bummer but hey a new toy is always a good thing
Thanks to all who posted replies.
