Default GS350 Squeak in Rear Brake

Has anyone experienced squeaky brakes with the '07 GS350. When I stop normally (not slamming on the brakes at the last second) right before the car comes to a complete stop I get a fairly loud squeak from the passenger side rear wheel. Took it to Lexus in Concord, CA and they kept the car 2 days to tell me that everything is working within factory specs and that squeaks are normal. Thats BS on a $50+ car. Service manager and general manager are getting a call on Monday and then the 800 number. If someone has had the issue, how did you resolve it? Was thinking of just buying new pads from Lexus for $90 and installing them myself to see if it fixes the problem. Since it is only the one wheel - it leads me to believe that I may have a bad pad or rotor that is causing a vibration that inturn creates the squeak. Note this started at 1500 miles and I now have 2400 and the noise is getting worse.

Dealership did say that they were sending some form to the corporate office registering that this is an issue. I did also note that Lexus already has a TSB out for the rear brake squeak on the '07 ES350 - requires some new shims and guides.

the same thing happened to my car. I took it to Lexus of Stevens Creek service center and they gave me the same BS excuse. I told them that I am not accepting that excuse and they fixed it for me.

I have about 7500 miles on my car and the brakes starting squeaking the other day. I thought it was only my car but I guess it might be a common problem. Gonna bring it into the dealer this week sometime and see what happens. Did you find a resolution yet?

Just got my car bck from the dealer and they said that the brake squeak is a common thing for the IS350 and GS350. The consultant said that because the brakes are high performance and that is the reason. There are no fix yet but I don't like the answer. So going to call corporate tomorrow and see waht they have to say.

blightle- simply replacing pads will not fix the problem...squeaks in the brake system are caused by a part vibrating under pressure...so you need to get you some shims (included wih new pads oem and higher end aftermarkets (or you can make some out of a sheet of steel or even an aluminum can) need to apply brake squeal stop gel (from advance auto parts or similar store) between the shim and the back of the pad to keep them from vibrating in the least. Suggest this to the dealer as something you learned from an expert or try it yourself and get back to us with the news that the annoying squeal is gone!
good luck
