first gs 300 door ding

That stuff happens. Here's what I do/did, I know a guy that has years of experience with paintless dent removal. On a regular basis (annually) I will call him to remove the dents. It's like a maintenance expense. It makes me feel better when they're gone. Remember, if you do this, get someone who has many years of experience (10) and good references or clients. Not all dent artists are the same.

Try to locate a ding repair company. I had one on my GS and it only took the guy 10 minutes to take it out. Costed me about $150. The bodyshop wanted $475 to sand, fill, and repaint the area. Not a chance!

I got a ding on my rear door at work by some schmuck in a Escalade which was white. On my Flint Mica, it didn't look too good. Called the Lexus dealership and they have a guy come by the dealership about 2x per week. It has no creases and should be relatively easy to pop out. No paint damage. Quoted me $150 too. You might call your SA and see if he/she can help.

What would you say the size of your dents are, $150 sounds way too steep for one dent unless you have a very large dents? Also, it depends where they are located. If you're in the SF Bay Area give Malcolm WIlson "Dent Artist" a call at 650-222-2333. He'll give you a good price and he has approx. 10+ years of experience. Currently, he removes all the dings for Carlsen Porsche in Redwood City.

Sorry everyone for my stupid mistake -- the paints scratched about a half an inch -- its not a ding.
It's small and not visible due to the paint type - i can see ite very time cuz i know it is there.

mine was not a round dent. It looked a little oval with a sharp crease in the middle. I stepped into the house for the ten minutes to check on the ticker and next thing I know, he tells me he's done. I honestly couldn't locate the dent. The guy's name is Michael over at Dent Doctor.

My guy in cali charges 75 per 'ding' but it has to have no paint damage and be about the size of a dime. He does good work so I know it will be done right. I got one mysteriously the day afte I bought my ride. Oddly enough it lines up perfectly with my gf back door and she is careless as all hell when it comes to stuff like that.
