Default GS300 nightmare at Longo

I took the gs300 in monday am for dash rattles...friday night I went to pick it up at Longo and noticed they had scratched the front passenger door just behind the wheel well....way at the bottom, I was irate. The service manager buffed it and it still shows minor scuff marks so I left it for them to detail it. There are scuff marks almost like something rubbed on it...to add insult to injury, the leather seats were dark and dirty, I cant beleive I am getting this from my lexus dealer. It goes to show you if it aint broke maybe it is not worth fixing, I go for rattles and get something else. This sucks.....

Sorry to hear about this happening to your car while at a Lexus dealership. I would stay on them until they fix it to your satisfaction.

The squeaking of my front and rear dashes has been increasing steadily since I bought the car last March, and your experience reminds me of why it is I don't have the dealership attemp to fix it. Dissassembling the entire dash is a big job, and I don't think it can be done without some auxillary damage. I'll tollerate it until I trade later this year for a GS350, CLS550, or Jaguar XK.

I told the service advisor he needs to buff it as good as he can, I dont want to go anywhere near a paint and match issue, I also told him he can wax the whole car and we'll probably call it a day at that. I will keep you all posted.

Same deal happened to me except I had a scratch/dent on the rear bumper as if it was slightly rear ended. I took it back to the dealer 2 days later and the service was fantastic. Without any argument mt service consultant said he would take care of it. The body shop that is going to do the work performs a lot of work on dealer cars. Apparently, they're one of the best body shops in the Bay Area.

OK so here is the update, I picked up the car tonight and per my request, the body shop color sanded the area and I can barely tell anything ever happened. If it was in a very noticeable spot, it would be unacceptable, but being down low just in front of the chrome strip of the front door, it is fine. They also waxed the whole exterior and car looks good as new. By the way, the 3 different rattles are gone for the time being.....I am happy......One last thing...The bluetooth volume can be adjusted by the dealer so that it does not have to be full volume all the time.

I'm glad it worked out. I'm going to Longo Lexus tomorrow morning to get my brake fluid flushed. I hope I don't get anthing else that I don't want.

I dropped off my ES 300 this morning and I'll be picking it up later this evening.

Longo gave me an RX 330 as a loaner. It's very nice. One thing though when I was driving into work the brake light, tire pressure light and VSC light turned on for no reason. I wonder what's up with that. Good it's not my car otherwise I would be concerned.
