Default Tire Sensor disaster 2006 GS3

I wanted to swap out the OEM GS3 17 inch wheels with aftermarkets so I took the car to the tire place and they replaced them (kept the original dunlaps on th aftermarket wheels) but broke one of the sensors- so they paid for it out of pocket but at that point I wanted the aftermarkts off and the originals back on. So..... when they did that, they broke 2 MORE SENSORS!! -needless to say they paid again for 2 more. Today I went over there for them to install the 2 and it appears that they did not break any this time but I tried resetting the tire pressure sensors (you know, the under the dash button). I followd the instructions exactly, car in park, em brake on, press the button until the 3 flashes then drive 20 minutes- well, the warning sign is still on way after the 20 min. I'm stumped, confused, tired. Can anyone give me any insight on how I can get the sensors to not throw off the warning sign anymore? I appreciate any help with this guys. Thanks

JP
06 GS3 black/ash -love the car very very very much

since they're new sensors i read in the manual that you have to recode the car to recognize the new sensors as they ahve their own id's or something like that.

Thanks for that reply. I do not recall reading that, i'll check the manual again tonight- all I remembr is the steps to reset the system by pressing the button under the dash once you engage the embrake and the car is in park.

yah it's confusing because there's the reset button under the driver's knee bolster and there's the other button under the pass side knee bolster.

OK, I called my Lexus dealer, the tech said that 9 times out of 10 the installer doesnt put the sensor on the right exact way so lexus has to do it- i'll never mess with the rims again, this has been an utter disaster and hopefully this helps any of you looking to swap out rims on your GS anywhere other than the lexus dealer.

I feel your pain man.

I got my 4 sensors sitting in my trunk, waiting to bring em into the dealer to reinstall. I'm actually used to the warning lights now, so it doesnt bother me anymore.

Can you disable the alert warning so that it doesnt bother you?

If you can post a pic of what one of those sensors looks like, that would be greatly appreciated.
