New GS300 engine - same as the old?
How soon will a supercharger be available?
What about an engine swap, putting the 430 engine with AWD? Can the transmission handle it?

Whole new engine went from a cast iron 2JZ-GE VVT-i inline 6 to an all new 3GR-FSE 3.0L Aluminum Block V6 w/dual VVT-i and direct injection w/an all new 6spd Super ECT-i auto tranny.

This is a little bit of an old thread (okay, so it's a year old), but it brings something to mind: has anyone heard or seen anything about a supercharger for the 2006 GS300? I've been driving it a year now, and I'm either going to get rid of it and get a GS450h or find some way to improve performance. Has anyone been able to do anything about making the car a bit faster?

Yeah, I know....but there's something about the IS that just doesn't do it for me. It's a little loud compared to the GS, and I like the styling of the GS better. I'd rather have my bigger more luxurious car with LOTS of power...if I could make that happen somehow. That, and I spend a lot of time on bad roads or in traffic jams. The GS suspension and sound proofing make that a lot more tolerable.

It's a thought, but if I'm going to get something different, I'll just get the hybrid. I bought the GS300 because I wanted AWD, but I've since moved to Las Vegas and I definitely don't need AWD anymore!
