Bumper replacements
Anyone replace their front and rear bumpers instead of having a shop try to fill the nicks and bumps and paint? There's an ebay vendor that ships a bumper painted to spec - thoughts on this and also any thoughts on whether the newly painted bumper would be so evident a difference than the rest of the car painted in 1997 essentially?

IMO it's better to go to someone local. That way, if you're not happy with it, you can drive back to them and get them to inspect and repaint. Saves the hassle of calling them, emailing them, shipping things back, etc.
plus you know your old bunper is a perfect fit. Never know how an eBay bunper could fit.

To me, it depends on cost. With my Camry I saved quite a bit by going with an eBay seller.
I think you will have better luck going with an eBay seller, as if they DO have to process a return, shipping would eat them alive. You pay 350 for a painted bumper cover, shipped. If you have to return it, that is, what, 50$ more they would have to spend to ship it back? 100$ losses would add up quick. They should make sure each cover is great before shipping.
