Stock ecu as standalone
new to the 2jz (lexus world)
i have a engine from a 2000 lexus gs300 going into my 2006 ford crown victoria. just for kicks i want to use the stock ecu as a standalone to just test fire the motor. Just wondering if the antitheft or immboilizer is built in the ecu , if it isnt - that means i should just wire the ecu as a standalone and it should fire up . i know it might run like crap, but to see and hear it idle for a few seconds will be rewarding.
P.S. i have everything from the lexus gs300 ,

I actually lost ignition in my 02 2gs so I ran a wire from the bottom connector port of where the relay sits to a switch, and ran the other end of the switch to the bottom connector port..
__ <- you wanna use this

| <- and this one
I have it wired to a switch mounted to my switch panel and then I turn the ley in the on position, them hit the switch, let the car start. Then hit the switch again to turn off the starter. Picture shown is the night I figured out how to get it running after installing a new alternator and new starter and getting no response. I used a small wire to bridge the 2 connections and it starts. Just make sure your key is in and on the ON position or else itll never start.
