03' GS300 A/C not blowing ANY air out of vents
My a/c is turned all the way up and absolutley no air is coming out of the vents. I don't even hear the fan turn on to be honest. i also have issues with the servo motors but thats the direction of air flow. This happened about 2 weeks ago and about halfway thru my trip to work, i smacked the dashboard around a little and the A/C came on. I didn't touch it in fear of it not coming back on and it worked great. This morning, the A/C turns on as the car does and i accidentally turn off the A/C since i was already kinda cold. To my delight, the A/C refused to kick back on as i had initially feared...i've read about replacing fuses and blower resistors but i don't think that those parts work intermittently. They either do or they don't but i could be wrong. Well which is why i came on here to ask you fine folk for your poinion.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

the blower motor uses little brushes that contact a round shaft that transmits the electricity and allows the motor to spin. those brushes wear down over time. its just a fact of life with electric motors. if the motor turns back on when you smack it, its usually indicative of worn brushes. replace the blower motor. if in the process you find any melted connectors or smell burnt electricity than the blower motor resistor would also need to be replaced. personally, both the blower motor and resistor would get replaced and with only factory parts.
