Default Check Engine and VSC on need guidance

I drive a 2003 gs300 lexus and the check engine and vsc light came on simultaneously this morning while driving to work. Does anyone know what it means and how critical is the issue. No mechanic is available today since it's a major holiday. Mileage is 105k, I purchased the vehicle 2008 with 24k miles.

You can take the car to an auto parts store, such as Advance Auto Parts and have them read the codes for you. Once you have those codes, create a thread in the GS section of this forum and post them there. Unless that's a typo and you do actually own an RX300.

No need to fret, CEL doesnt mean the end of the world, VSC lights coming on usually just the car going into limp mode from the CEL. Get it scanned and we can go from there.
