Default Question about interior lighting LED bulbs

Please forgive me but I have indeed researched this quite a bit but I want to be clear before I proceed.

I have replaced my bottom door lights, the dome light, the license plate lights and my side marker lights. next are the above the back door lights(194?) and the lights above the gas pedal(194?). I would like to know the correct bulb numbers and terminology for the bulbs=>map, dome, puddle etc.

Thank you in advance, I would rather be sure than not. And if anyone has used bulbs that they are totally satisfied with, please leave the manufacturer for reference.

Look at this link. Same for all 98 - 05 GS.

http://www.sylvania.com/en-us/applications/automotive-lighting-systems/Pages/lrgallbulbs.aspx?year=1998&qual=702&model=3205&make=54

If your GS does not have stock HID.
9006 is the low beam size.

I installed these EVERYWHERE including license plate, side marker, interior, trunk.
The glove box and under dash area are different, they are tiny little ****s but also come in LED.

Good luck.

Most interior bulbs including door puddle lights x4 and rear overhead door map lights x2 are 194 bulbs called T10 shape wedges. These are also for the daytime running lights x2 (only years 1998-2000), sidemarkers x2, license plate x2, and trunk light. There are x13 or x11 of these bulbs in these entire cars depending on your year.

Here are the different ones:
Dome Light: 3175
Map lights: BA9 x2
Vanity Mirrors: 29mm Tubes x2
Center console Ashtray light bulb, ignition key ring, P/R/D/M/3/2/L Shifter light, Footwell lights x2, Glovebox, and rear door ashtray cups x2: 74 bulbs or T5 wedges x8

The smallest 74 or T5 bulbs can be a little difficult to fit. Depending on the brand, sometimes they are too long, or the bases don't fit the sockets.

The above list is every single LED mini bulb you can fit for plug and play, except for custom modding like radio, switches, etc. Total of x26 or x24 depending on your year.

The DRL for 2001-2005 are 9005 head light bulb that also function as high beams. Those weren't included in the list because those are not mini bulbs. 1998-2000 have 194 bulbs for DRL.

The DRLs are in the 2001-05 (gen 2.5) as well. Have fun finding a white that matches OEM bulbs, though.

As stated above, the foot wells are 74s. Have fun getting those OUT. I had to superglue some duct tape to the driver one, let it cure, and yank it out.
Last time I had some stubborn small bulbs, I tried using pliers. I crushed them and shards went all over.

I have LED panels on the way.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/T10-BA9S-Fes...xV-7E3&vxp=mtr

These come with plug-n-play adapters for the dome, reading, trunk and (if you wanted to) the rear dome lights.

Then, I will use the bases from these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/6x-Flat-Ultr...JRSCmQ&vxp=mtr
with the leftover adapters from the panels for the foot well lights.

AFAIK, you can use 2 of these in the dome, 1 in each map and as many as you want for foot wells and trunk.

Also, these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Pcs-White-...pXGaTQ&vxp=mtr
are for the vanity mirrors in the visors.

DISCLAIMER:
I am not responsible for people inadvertently turning these on, at night, in your car, and ****ting themselves.
These EMBARRASS the OEM bulbs.

went to go take out the lights above the rear door, it didn't want to come out. as I was messing with it, the entire bulb begin to move so I pushed it in, and it went all the way back into the entire cover, now I cant get it out. geesh. don't know what to do now. this is nuts lol. how can I mess that up?

I took the footwell case off and that's a small bulb. order for the 74's and 194's will be here by Tuesday or Wednesday, I have until then to figure out what to do about the bulb that recessed back into the case above the door.

The whole socket with the bulb fell back into the panel? You might have to pop the whole assembly out, and possibly use a magnetic pick up rod to hopefully grab it, if it is not visible. There is a metal light reflector shield that I had to remove to pull the bulbs out on these.

yes, I couldn't believe it. I found a tint shop that does led lighting also this morning. i'm going to run up there and see what they say. I don't want to cause any more damage. smh

Pardon the potentially flippant sounding question, but, did you unscrew and remove the whole plate? The screw is behind the retractable coat hanger hook.

You may be able to use one of those grabber tools that are on a the really long spring. Pretty cheap at harbour freight.

No prob. I could not get my fingers around the bulb so I started to pry out the panel. It felt like it wanted to pop but was one screw holding it in.

same thing happened to me. I couldn't get those bulbs out for nothing. got to prying the panel but it wouldn't budge. You saved me a trip I didn't want to have to make. Pretty sure this will be useful to someone else also.
