Where is the Camshaft sensor located

Default Where is the Camshaft sensor located

I currently have the dreaded VSC light that stays on and the check engine light, Autozone ran a code and it says

P1349 - VVT System Malfunction
P1346- VVT Sensor/ Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem (Bank 1)


I go and purchase the pieces, VVT Sensor and the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR, however


I CAN'T FIND the camshaft position area



Please, Please, Please help, and I need like specific points as to where it is. LEXUS GS300 2002

I know where the VVT Sensor is, I can change that, just don't know where the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR is located. I see many pictures, but in the angle that they are in, I am unsure.

not to sound stupid, so it's UNDER the car engine, I couldn't get to it from the hood ? is that right ?

No. Its on the side, under the intake plenum. Leaning from the driver fender, you'll see a plug right next to the transmission dip stick.

Heres a better idea:
