Door lock actuator and memory seat problem - related?
I am having two issues, and wonder if they are related.
1. Memory seat seems to have Alzheimers. I can set the memory, it beeps, and if I try it again within a few minutes or hours, it moves to the programmed location. But if it sits overnight, the memory is gone.
2. My front passenger actuator started acting up. No biggie, I already replaced the other three actuators, so I replaced the Mabuchi motor and was back in business, or so I thought. Then I realized that for some reason it was impossible to manually unlock the passenger door. Electrically (using the switch or remote) no problem, but mechanically it was impossible to move the lever. If I locked it manually I could easily unlock it using the lever, but if I locked it electrically, it was not possible to unlock it with the lever. I took everything apart and inspected, and found no issues. So I bought a Chinese knockoff actuator from ebay, and the problem was solved, I can easily unlock the door using the lever. But, now when I unlock the car using the remote or the door unlock switch, it does a double-take - one command unlocks all the actuators (I can see them all actuate) then a second later there is another attempt to unlock all the doors. I had that once before when one of the actuators was going out, but now they all work, so what is causing this?
Could these be related? Battery? And if not, how would I proceed with diagnosing each issue?

Solved both problems, ended up being unrelated issues.
I'll post the issue/solution to the door lock problem in the actuator DIY thread - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ml#post9267889.
For the memory seat, it ended up being a bent pin in the connector between the driver's seat and the body. I had the seat reupholstered recently, and that is when it must have bent. It just happened to be the pin that provides power to the seat ECU when the ignition is off. So all other seat functions worked, except that when the ignition was turned off, the memory went away. I was a click away from spending $50 on a seat ECU, thankfully I found the cause first.
