Hello all,
I searched for this question already and could not really find an answer specific enough for me. I will soon be getting coilovers for my gs and I have some basic 18's on it. I'm not going to go slammed or anything crazy cause its my daily but maybe just an aggressive two inches in the front and 1.5 in the rear or close to it. I REALLY don't want to have to deal with fender problems though. From what I have seen from most 18's and below, they don't seem to have a big problem with that. Has anybody with 18's had any issues with rubbing if your car is not slammed? Any input would be helpful.

If your car isnt slammed, depending on the wheels offsets and width you shouldnt have issues..

I'm sitting in 20's 9 front 10.5 rear same drop you want very light roll no pulling no rubbing sits mean and rides smooth on lowering springs not coil-overs

There is absolutely no way to answer this question without knowing the widths, offsets, and tire sizes.

What size tires are you running? Are you dropping on springs or coils? What dimensions are your 18's? (Widths, offsets)

Stock height on a gs is at least 4 inches of gap on standard 60 series tire....so 18's in modest tires barring extreme width were talking 10 and up should make no difference.....He already said he's not slamming and is avoiding fender mods....so most likely looking at a conservative setup simply put stock rim on an 03 is a 17 so not a major stretch to move up an inch

I bought the wheels my senior year of highschool and at the time never even bothered or cared what the width and offset are. Yes this is embarrassing not to know but I'm trying to search the internet to find it now cause i want to know. The wheels almost sit stock, I have some small spacers in the rear to bring them out a little bit more. I suppose I could measure it myself. I just do not know how accurate it would be. Sorry I am kind of a newb with offsets and width

Well... if they almost sit stock, then I doubt you'd need to do any fender work since the stock wheels are sunken in when lowered.

Agreed, there is no way to answer this with out widths and offsets and tire size.So if you have a floor jack take off the rim and look on the inside barrel for rims specs... If you don't have a floor jack, use your stock jack. Tire size is on the sidewall of the tire.Now, if the rims do sit at almost exact stock like you say, you will not have any rubbing at only a 2" drop. My previous set up was 18x8 +38 rim with a 25mm spacer tires were 215/40/18 and I was slammed on coilovers(-5" from stock) no rubbing at all.
