Hi, Richard from Oklahoma. I purchased my GS430 about 4 years ago. Love this car! It just drives great. It recently had a thermostat get stuck, and the car overheated so much it stopped and began to smoke. My mechanic said it was toast, needed to auction it off on the red line! ; ( However, I took it to a Lexus mechanic and he replaced a coil, repaired the engine block leak with new sealant, replaced the VVT sensor, radiator and thermostat, and it seemed like a new car! I was sick about the possibility of having to salvage it, but I hope for another 150,000 miles!
I have not done any customizations, but after reading the forum I think I am going to get a navtool and backup camera to start, then wire up a aux input into the audio system.
I added a new map DVD recently; much improved from the original. My wheels began to leak air, so I replaced them with new wheels and a new set of tires at the same time. The attached pictures are right after my car died from overheating, you can see the antifreeze leak underneath the rear of the car!

Hello Club Lexus ! My name is Art. I own a 1998 GS300 black on black 140K miles. always loved the 2nd gen body style and this one came at the perfect time when I sold my 98' 240sx.
Purchased the car bone stock and did all brakes, tune up, tires, timing belt, water pump, VVTi cam gear and seals etc.... Added a few minor modifications such as LED tails, HID yellow fogs, double din headunit, and a full upper interior black suede conversion.
Currently finishing up air suspension and choosing wheels. Would like to do the aristo swap eventually also.
Hello everyone, My Name is Cameron. Have owned my 1998 for over 6 years. It's black, with black interior planning on ordering clazzio diamond stiched interior soon, in addition to some new 20" black with chrome lip rims. Car came to me base just HID's. Came with Nak system but have since upgraded the entire car's system to Hertz, Audison, and JL, oh and Kenwood aswell. (Headunit, sub, speakers, and tweeters, as welll as custom made brackets, to house the new speakers.) So far I've replace all the door lock actuators, painted my tail lights and inner tail lights with VHT Night shades in red. Also installed a reverse camera and got Window tint place on all the cars window's (front windshield 80%, 30% everywhere else.) Sound dampened the entire car too!

Name's Ben and my wife and I bought our first Lexus about a week ago. Sorry don't have pictures of it yet, but we bought a 99 GS400 with 108k miles on it for 5500 cash. Black with beige interior in excellent condition with a few exceptions such as driver rear door bad actuator broken window switch and a few other small repairs. Timing belt was changed at 86,000 miles and the previous owners drove the car 20,000 miles total over the last 7 years. The Gs400 had been my dream sedan, with the exception of an M5. I will be doing a full overhaul with tuning it up over the next several weeks. New plugs, New gear oil, new transmission fluid (amsoil ATF), transmission mod, MAF and throttle bottle cleaning along with a K&N air filter. then the modding begins!!!
