Default white smoke and shaking

Hey everyone, im new to this but i got on in the hopes of an answer. Got a 98 gs300 with the 2jz engine and 125K miles, car started to shake from what feels to be the engine and is also blowing white smoke from the exuast. It tends to happen when the car is in park or when im moving slowly, but while driving fast it doent feel like the engine is shaking but it keeps blowing white smoke. Did a tune up and still no luck. Im in mini-soda :-D and right now the temperatures are in the 40s F any suggestions?

White smoke or semi white can be produced in several ways. One way is oil this is normally a whitish blue to blue smoke and has the apparent smell of oil being burned. Next could be antifreeze when it is being burned it has a sweet type of smell and tends to dissipate in the air rather quickly. Next is automatic transmission fluid which is normally found on automatic transmissions and its normally drawn into an engine thru a vacuum line via a defective transmission modulator valve or some other defective part. Transmission fluid is very apparent and billows out so bad that you can't see anything behind you.

And does it seem like engine shaking, nothing else such as transmission? did you check mounts? What type of "tune up" did you do? You need to explain what you've tried, (if anything) so that people can better understand the issue at hand.

White smoke can denote a right fuel mixture. Have you checked for any codes yet?

thanks for replying, well looks like i got the issue fixed. first off the tunes ups we did was an oil change, then sparks plug change, head gasket change, but it didnt do the trick. Got someone to lend me a scanner which came up with a code P1349 from there it said the oil control valve and oil control valve filter may have an issue. So got both pieces out to clean and the filter was full of oil crap but when i put it back the motor kept shaking and still had white smoke coming out of the exhuast. After that just went to the dealer and bought a camshaft oil control valve(bank 1) and it fixed the issue. so far no shaking or white smoke.

Did you change the valve cover gaskets or the head gasket?
