2000 GS300. With the old transmission (A3040-LS) my car didn't vibrate with the replacement transmission (A340E) it vibrates. The oscillating vibration is happening when I drive anywhere from 40mph and up & when decelerating. Now when its in park or neutral and when I rev the motor it vibrates also. Is this a sign of bad mounts?
check and/or replace the isolator between the trans yoke and the driveshaft.
EDIT: Also the isolator between the driveshaft and the diff.
The isolator does has some small hair line cracks in it on the differential side. But it vibrates when you rev the engine in park or neutral. The isolator could be a problem when driving.
clock your drive shaft. you need put the ds back on the same way you took it off. maybe your car vibrated in park or neutral too when rev before the trans before the tranny replacement, but since you are experiencing this now you are testing it when it's no in gear. when you drive and the floor is vibrating it is a good chance is the DS.
You can easy check them by putting the car in gear, one foot hard on the brakes, other on the gas reving about 2000rpms going from "D" to "R" constantly and watch if the engine jumps. If yes, engine mounts are bad

eh i would not recommend doing so at 2k rpms...at idle yeah, but with load on the engine that could be bad for the trans.
The engine should jump a little, as it does on most cars. If you see big movement (more than an inch or so) it's probably the mounts.

OK will do... will let you know in a few on the outcome.

I tried what you said & the motor torques to the left... So that could be the issue
depends, does it torque more or less than when you rev it when NOT in gear? the difference between the two is what you were supposed to be looking for.
