I hate to tell you dude, but a naturally aspirated 2JZ just doesn't move enough air to benefit from an intake. Grab a K&N from Autozone or wherever. That cheap-o short ram is just gonna heat soak and cause a LOSS in performance. Leave it be and put that money towards your turbo fund. Sorry man, just not worth the money getting an intake, especially if you have no tuning provisions.

Hello sir, there is a member here that did a DIY, with a K & N filter in the stock box and used a sceptre brand aftermarket tubing and with a little cutting and painting it black to look stock made a nice looking intake pretty inexpensively. I am actually have been contemplating trying it for a bit now.

I did the DIY mentioned above after installing a short ram and it not running right due to the MAS not being positioned correctly.
With the DIY, I did improve my fuel economy by .75mpg average. I already had a K&N filter installed. Heat soak is a big issue though. The tubing gets too hot to touch due to sitting over the exhaust mani.
My last average for my 300 was 18mpg/city and 23ish/hwy
