Well that's the way Toyota designed it on the Supra, it actually picks up air from a snorkal and blows it onto the stock twin plumbing on the Supra, I could add the snorkal. I like it and that's all that matters. No rice here
Many people like the hella flush look, I can't stand it, maybe because I'm old school. I modded my 1st 280ZX turbo back in high school in 1989 so I've seen the fads come and go.

So you just put the scoop on and no sorkle........
All im saying it takes so much away from such a nice looking car. Its not a supra

Ryan - it gets dusty and dirty just sitting parked, grass blows in when the lawn is getting cut or whatever, black shows everything.
TTpimp - for sure, I think a small single and some spray may be in the near future but I don't want to get crazy like before, I'll probably just stick to a stock stall and use the nitrous out of the hole to keep the good driveability.
NE Biker - Yes, just like 99% of the Supra guys on the forums, when they convert to the euro scoop you never see the under the hood hardware, most don't even cut a hole in the hood, I did to help keep the temps down. I like the scoop, its the same on the supra, some hate it and some like it.

Yes it stays up top, the previous owner put on 400 miles per year for 4 years, I have had it for 8months and have put on 1200 miles. I want to keep it long term, they only made 220 black 2006 coupes... the only year coupe that you can supercharge / turbo easily.

On Christmas day my brother and I took the Lexus to Walgreens, on the way back we ran into a 2011 5.0 Mustang, he had the exhaust modified for sure, not sure what else. From what I read those cars trap 110-112 stock, and generally pick up 30-50 HP with exhaust / tune / intake. We would pull him by a car or two once past 50 mph, it was fun for sure but I think I need more power. I decided yesterday to drop the car with Darin at DD Tuning for a new Precision 6667 turbo, fuel system, 264 VVTI Titan Cams, Haltech, Fully Built Titan Transmission with a Titan 3200 Stall and a Nitrous kit.

Hey Adam, congrats on the GS, and on the hood scoop!! I definitely feel ya on the scoop. I molded in a scoop on my SC when I had it repainted and kitted out, in preparation for my GTE swap (which is on hold for now). Yeah, it's not ideal positioning for the turbos, but my reasoning was similar to yours, to help keep the temps down in the engine bay and to be unique. Got a lot of negative responses as well, lol, and a few positive ones, but hey, it's all good. Like Sinatra said, I did it my way!!
