'00 GS300 Stereo Harness - To buy or not to buy?
So I really didn't want to start a new thread on this but I'm really confused after reading the few that I found. I have a '00 GS300 Platinum Edition with what I believe to be the "regular" radio and not the Nakamichi. It says Lexus Premium Sound on the front but that's it.
My questions:
What harness can I use to retain the sound from the stock sub in the back if possible?
Can I use the cheaper Toyota harness that just has the regular wires without RCA hookups?
What are my actual harness options based on my current stereo?
Any and all info is welcomed and I'm sure this will help out those that have the same questions that have read all the current threads related.

I haven't researched into finding out if we can use our stock sub with an aftermarket radio. You might have to use an amp either way. There is a harness you can use but you'll have to extend the wires from the rear of the radio location to the far side of the glove box. Here are your options:
1. Amplify your door speakers and use one channel of your radio to the sub but it might not have enough power and you'll need an inline crossover for the sub.
2. Amplify the sub and keep your door speakers hooked up to the radio.
3. Buy a 5 channel amp and completely redo everything.
Either way, you'll have to bypass the stock amp to get your aftermarket radio to work. Use this thread for reference:
