Default Rebuilding 1uzfe VVT-I

So guys, here I am, the "tinker-thinker!"

I was curious to know what front cover items should I replace while I'm rebuilding this engine, if any!?

- Assuming cost wasn't an issue which is a lie, but what are some of the things/concerns fellow GS owners have done.

* My Current Plans, after the engine is inspected by a machine shop:

Repair/Replace Harness Connectors
Misc Hoses
PCV Valve
VAFC NEO - I have
Full Gasket Kit - I have
PPE headers - I'd like to buy
New T-belt
New CPS???
Water Pump
Oil Pump
Radiator
Slim fan
New Mounts
Replace/Rebuild starter - Best route? Best Replacement brand?
Upgraded ALT
* New rings
* New Bearings

If I missed anything feel free to school me, I'd appreciate it.

I did a full build and it's documented in the performance section. If it's just a basic rebuild of the engine. then I think you have most everything.
Complete gasket kit (which will include all seals)
All bearings (main, rod, thrust)
Recondition the head (valve seals and seating)
change out engine mounts (these tend to crack)
If you are changing the radiator, the stock fan setup is great if you can leave it, otherwise I would only use SPAL fans. Believe me I've tried many and these are the only ones that really work.

If you're going for a fully built motor, my build thread may give you some ideas.

Hope this helps

I didn't find the thread for your factory rebuild, maybe it's in the archives. If you happen to know the title, or would be able to link me to it faster than I can find it, I'd appreciate it.

Going to do a search on it when I get home. That TT build was a crazy one sir

The TT rebuild was essentially it. Just got a few different parts to replace stock ones.

On a stock setup? should take you about 15 minutes a side. I rate it about a 2/10 on the difficulty scale.

Lol I actually did do that, but the way it sounded was as if there were to separate threads. He clearified that for me above.

Thanks
Gents.

No more updates because I don't have the desire to go higher on the boost. It's fine where it is now. I am also trying to make sure it lasts for a bit longer. I will be selling the car in the next 8-12 months. Just waiting for the replacement car to become available. If the "replacement" comes out sooner, I will be selling the car sooner.

How's that for an update
