Exclamation What do you think...Causal or not???

Last Friday,I went to the local Lexus dealership to have my ball joints and control arm bushings inspected. They put the car on the lift and monkeyed around in the wheel wells. This morning on my way to work my VSC Off and VSC light came on and I have the same symptoms as other threads (rough idle, sluggish start with a lunging start following, once speeds over 35 are reached it runs great)

I only drove maybe 50-60 miles between Friday and Tuesday morning

Do you think it is possible they knocked a ground loose in the speed sensors or just pure coincidence??

If you're getting rough idle and sluggish start etc... I would say its NOT the speed sensors. The sensors would give you those symptoms. Reason why you're having rough idle and such is because your car is in 'limp mode' which I believe triggers the vsc as well. Is your check engine light on?

My speed sensor malfunctioned and the vsc lights have been on for a while and my car runs just fine.

Yes it's on. I had a tester hooked to it and said it was misfiring around 600 times a minute. Then narrowed it down to a loose ground.

Wow if that loose ground turns up to be dealer related/caused that sucks I wouldnt blame dealership in general but some mechanic sure needed a job aparently.
