Default Adding Aftermarket Amp and Sub to factory Setup NEED HELP!!

i was wondering if it was possible to keep the factory head unit and amp (pioneer prem sound) but adding an aftermarket amp by tapping the sub. wires that are in the trunk.... my plan is to just cut the wires to the sub from the factory amp, run those to a line converter, then to the aftermarket amp which will be run to power and remote as usual... is this possible/. anyone tried this before?

It should take about 2 hours run all the wires. (30 minutes to run the power wire from the hood to the trunk, 15 minutes to drill ground wire, 30 minutes to run remote wire from center console, 30 minutes to disconnect old sub and convert to hi low, and 15 minutes to connect all the wires)

Does anyone knows how to remove the stock sub ? I heard that you will have to remove the desk lid to get to the sub ?
