01 lexus GS300 headlight repair
i had my car in the body shop for a simple repair, a front bumper cover. i was told because of the color they would have to blend the fenders to match so i said ok. $900.00 later i was left with an excellent looking paint job. however my headlights that looked new with NO oxidation before hand now had over spray on them, it didnt take long to get the over spray off but then i noticed that either when they were sanding between coats of paint or buffing after-ward's somehow or another my right headlight lens now looks like crap on the side next to the fender you can clearly tell this is not oxidation its got a pattern to it.
my question to my CL friends, i have repaired many normal headlight lenses before using the wet sanding method. the problem is these are the green tinted headlights and im unsure if this same method will work on them keeping in mind the left one still looks new so i need the right to match the body shop said their not at fault and priced me a new oem headlight at $400 will i need to get the new headlight to make it look nice or will wet sanding make it look just as nice?
also if you have any input as to how you think they did this to my headlight please let me know. it looks horrible!!
your help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

@GS4_Fiend thanks i guess that means it will sand the same as the clear. @ excluesive yeah my thought exactly they will not cover it though.... and for what it would cost to get a lawyer involved i could just buy the new headlight ha
