Trunk set up
Haven't posted on the cl for quite a while but I did a little something in my garage last week. With the problem of the hump in the trunk and the seat belt box, I had to customize my trunk to make it look clean and simple. The custom box I build was just a simple enclosure box. Building the box wasn't a problem but building the wall was. The wall needed to start an inch higher than the metal frame because the spare tire wouldn't be able to taken out if the wall began at the metal frame(look at picture). So what I did was used mdf wood to build a step for the wall to be an inch higher. Some of you might be wondering what is the wood thing inside the spare tire? It is what keeps the trunk board up. Well it took me about two nights to finish the project. If anyone is interested in building a similar trunk, I will give you the measurements. But here at the supplies I bought-
Subwoofer-15" Diamond Audio
Amp-1500 watts Rockford Fosgate (purchased from a member on cl)
Wood-MDF wood (purchased from Home Depot)
Carpet-Bargainshore
Grand total was less than $200

Kyle-I don't think my setup blocks the sound because there is not a plexi in front of the sub and there is a large gap for air to travel into the car from stock sub hole
Thank you all for liking the trunk set up
