Thanks for the input.

However, the buzz I'm experiencing is not loud at all. It sounds like a small airpump/waterpump. ABS seems to be working fine also thus far.

The problem I am having, is when I brake from above 10mph to at or below it, it 'buzzes' real quick.

Doesn't matter if it is hard braking, or just tapping the brakes at 10mph or below.

Earlier I started a new thread about this brake noise. I made a Youtube movie, you can watch it there.

Check this thread. It has video (beginning) so you can compare the noises.
Replacing the master cylinder is so often suggested, in my case it had something to do with the ABS sensors (actually rust in the wheel hub that damaged the tonering= ABS sensor 'reads speed from axle').

Okay so now you have heard from 2 of us...yep that's right, I cranked the car and it started making a loud buzzing noise, sounds like a cell phone vibrating behind the radio display...and when I press the brakes sometimes it happens too but not all the time. And also just in case this helps...I think this car has electrical problems because the radio display goes in and out sometimes, and the dash lights fade in and out sometimes. Any suggestions, don't have any money...

Default Buzzing noise in dash area GS300

Johndoe619 - did you ever find out anything about your buzzing noise...I need something that isn't very costly to fix this problem...hate to take it to a mechanic without some sort of idea of what I am getting into....see my post from yesterday.

So on my thanksgiving I had the joy of losing all braking power...I have a 2002 GS3. M abs/VSC and VSC off light along with brake light on...I got the loud continuos noise and I have no brake when trying to stop...lexus lied when they claim they fix this issue after 2001. Anyone have a master cylinder for sale?

Im having this problem now on my 2002 Gs300. It has 177,000 miles on it. When I start up the car I hear the buzzing sound for about 4 seconds and then it kind of makes a knock sound and stops. This also happened occasionally when I pull up at stop lights or in traffic. Brake pedal feels a little mushy but nothing serious. I have seen the ABS/VSC lights come on maybe 2 times since I bought the car 6 months ago. Each time I turned the car off and started it back up. Does this sound like I need to replace the entire Brake Master Cylinder? Kind of disappointing considering everything I read says the 01+ are more reliable.

Most likely low nitrogen pressure in the accumulator (47950-30010). Replace this part, and it should be fine.

Ive always suspected low nitrogen to be the case with most of the problems ppl face concerning the brake master cyl. but I didn't know the canister was available and can be changed.
Anybody successfully changed out theirs??

Before you start taking the accumulator canister, make sure you pump the brake about 30-40 times if I recall. This will release the pressure that is left in there for safe replacement. If you don't do this, it's like a bomb.
The way u could tell that it could be the accumulator is when you hear the pump motor priming about every 10-15 seconds. If you have a bad accumulator, this will also wear out your pump motor too since its priming constant..

Also, forgot to mention, is if you have codes stored, get it checked out. I think the codes could tell if there is low nitrogen if I recall.
