Removal of rear cup holder in rear armrest
Hi Guys,
I've search all the past threads and even the BananaGS DIY site and nothing explains how to remove the cupholder.
In one thread back in the past some said the dealer says to pop some latch inside the cupholder and it will slide out. So far I've had no luck.
In Anh's DIY site he takes the metal case apart, but doesn't really show the process. There are 2 screws that hold the cup holder assembly to the metal case. I don't want to destroy the metal case, but just remove the cup holder for a project.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to remove it or a spare cup holder that may show how to take out the cup holder mechanism?
thanks,
Chris

After talking with TAMR_GUS98 he explained how to remove the rear cupholder.
See below.
The cup holder has to be almost closed and you slide the metal pieces in and slide them from the the middle out so it catches the tabs on the sides.
I'll be updating this info later this week on BananaGS DIY site as well as going through the site and fixing any links.

Yes, once you pull out the cup holder, the plastic case that holds the assembly has a screw on each side which are angled. You just need a phillips screwdriver. Once unscrewed, slide it out straight and you are good to go.
