GS-300 A/C / Defog Not Working Stalling Car
Hello..
Let me start by saying how much money this forum has saved me.. I have always found the answers to my problems and have never had to post.
This is my first...
Today while driving I noticed the A/C stopped blowing cold air then I noticed the light was blinking. Problem is right after that I cut the A/C off and back on and it almost stalled my car going down the road !!
Once parked at my house I tried to cut on the A/C or front defogger and it keeps almost stalling my car and squeaks. It will do this about every 2 seconds..
TIA for any advice / help!

Just REALLY throwing it out there with a guess.. Maybe the a/c compressor. When clutch goes on it gets too tight? Meaning something may be locking up inside thus causing the belt to slip around the compressors pulley making it squeak... Again, a total guess so no flames guys

I think your AC compressor is most likely shot. Sounds like the internals of the compressor got siezed up. When you activate the clutch on the compressor, it's basically like hitting the brakes on that pulley...hence the squealing and almost stalling the engine.
BTW: If you need a replacement compressor, send me a private message. I have an extra one laying around.

Yeah your guess was pretty good. Mabye a little too vauge on the wording lol.
Also, it's the compressor itself that is siezed and not the clutch. If it was the clutch then it would always be jammed. If it only jams when you activate the clutch then it's for sure the compressor.
