Driver's Side Front Lock Not Working....
Okay, so I'm drivin' along and lock my doors when I see that all my doors will lock and unlock except for my driver's front side. At first, it looked like it was trying and now it just stopped trying. I have to manually lock it and unlock it now.
Anybody have similar problems to this or know of a remedy? Thanks.

Fixed my door lock
I fixed my door lock this evening.
Syptoms were: the rear drivers side door lock would sometimes not unlock. I could hear the solenoid in the door clicking so I knew power was getting to the panel. Sometimes the lock would just move a little without going all the way over.
I took the panel off the door.
Removed all of the cables and wires.
I then removed the lock mechanism from inside the door. A trick in iteslf.
I removed the solenoid from the lock mechanism and plugged just this part in and actuated the door locks.
It seemed to work fine, with no issues.
So I know the problem is elsewhere in the mechanism. I notice that some of the moving parts are a bit stiff to move. Too much pressure will prevent the lock from functioning properly as the solenoid lock system is a slip type.
I lubricated all of the moving parts. I sprayed some WD40 into the cable itself since this felt a bit stiff also. Everything slid and moved nicely with no hangups.
I then dynomated the whole door panel. I plan on doing the others as time goes on.
I put it all back together and it works perfectly. I locked/unlocked at least 50 times to check it and it did not fail once
Whole procedure took 1 hour.
Hope this helps.

I'll give it a shot......
Pearlpower, thanks for the descriptive procedure. I actually got in touch with my installer and he's gonna take a look at it on Wednesday. I'll let him know about that. Thanks again!
