Traction Control

Traction Control
I don't know how heavy into going sideways other people are, but every once in a while its cool to tear up the tires a lil bit and drift around a corner especially taking advantage of that rear wheel drive. Does anyone know how to turn the traction control off because the car will either lock up or just beep like crazy if i try anything that even starts to put the car sideways

I have when I was a 22 year old noob back in 2000 and almost killed myself. Took the VSC off, tried to race a Z3 M roadster at the light where he had to take an immediate left turn, lost control, went over the median, into the other lane and spun the car around and saved it right before it hit the curb.
#)() DUMB.
The GS 400/430 has very very ample power with the VSC off especially with stock wheels/tires where it can easily overwhelm them.
The fun is learning how to drive it well but that takes time. VSC has saved my butt a few times as well. It also intruding as well, so buy an LSD if you really want better performance in corners and want grip.

I partially disagree with the "don't do it" and "leave it to the 240's"....the disagreeance would be that some people without the skill shouldn't do that and f you don't have the money to pay for the ticket when you get caught then don't. Now there's some of us(insert evil laught here) that grew up on the back roads sliding around corners, gravel and asphalt, that are capable. But honestly, be safe about it as the car is rather large and unruly at times....one false throttle blip and it'll trun around on ya and you'll be over a curb crying about bent rims and who knows what else. And take said information above and go read the frequently asked questions and sticky posts to find a plethora of info about these marvelous cars. End.

And I do love me a 240.....if it's built right thatis which is the case with any car. A younger guy at my work has one with stagerred wheels and a Sylvia front end that is totally ****. On another note...maybe the poster of this can't afford to own/register/insure 2 vehicles? a thought.....
