Install New Wiper Inserts
I have new inserts and want to get them in. I found some tips on how to do this in the following link for an RX. Is there any other tips/recommedations? Looks pretty straight forward, I think... 2003 GS300

I found this. Thanks for the suggestions, I am going to give it a try with the inserts. If things don't look right I will get a complete new pair.

#4... refill for OEM blades... about $10.00 for both sides...
#3... complete OEM blade assembly.. about $45.00 for both sides...
You do the math...

I normally change the refills only. No point throwing away OEM blades.

I'm with istundra on this. I change my insert couple times already and they work great. The refill seem to work better compare to brand new ones. Sometime the brand new ones doesn't sit tight to the winshield.

Stop using those OEM wiper blades! I used to do the refills, but for the cars that sit outside the rubber will dry out within a year. I've changed all my cars over to the Rain-X Latitude wipers. They are MUCH beefier and will stand up to several times the abuse. I'll take a pic of the difference in the wipers when I get a chance. Also, the RainX wipers are very reasonably priced at $18 a piece at auto parts stores. Well, the other reason I use them is that I get them at cost for around $20 some a pair

speaking of this topic, amazon.com has valeo 900 wipers buy one get one (these are the "premium" beam-style blades ) for ~$16.
No rebates to deal with, although it looks like they are backordered 3-4weeks.

anco also has their reoccurring rebate program at the moment too, which comes out to be around half price for three tiers of products($15/$10/$5).

You cannot replace rubber on one-piece beam-style wiper blades. Consumer Reports concluded that there is no quality improvement of beam-style wipers performance over the older style in their tests, but they also noted that certain "premium" models did better after 6months.
